WHAT IS WELLNESS COACHING?

Wellness coaching is a close partnership between you and your coach that offers personal insight into your needs and goals, structure, accountability, and inspiration that help you achieve goals beyond what you can do by yourself.

However, there is one important difference in how I coach: first we focus on helping you to maintain a positive attitude, and to feel happy and grateful for what you have now. After completing all of my coursework for a PhD in Developmental Psychology, and learning about Professional Counseling in attaining my Master’s Degree, I have learned that the attitude we start with will greatly influence the immediate outcome, as well as your ability to maintain your wellness goals. At the end of everyday, one of your tasks is to recall all of the good things that happened in your life, and WRITE them down in a journal: your gratitude journal. For example, things I was grateful for yesterday were simple, but made me smile: the greeting I received from my two Yorkshire Terriers, the sun was shining, I heard from a dear friend I had not talked to in some time and I had some delicious, nutritious foods to eat throughout the day: I counted my blessings. Changing our attitudes from negative to positive, eliminating complaining (you will be surprised at how often you can learn to catch yourself complaining about something, and how you can eliminate that habit), and NOT gossiping about others to make ourselves feel better is crucial to long-term success. This information is based on my personal experiences, as well as research published in professional journal articles (1).

  • Imagine what life will be like when you reach your goals: what do you gain? How will you feel? What will your life look like? This is powerful and an important step.
  • Imagine what life will be like if you do NOTHING: what is the personal cost to you and your family?
  • Designing a personalized step-by-step plan based on YOUR goals.
  • Taking daily action toward those goals, being accountable to yourself and your coach
  • Achieving your wellness goals and turning them into lifelong habits.

YOU set the agenda and the pace. I guide you, instruct you, and help you set small daily goals and the bigger goals. I help you to hold yourself accountable. These are YOUR unique goals and dreams!

YOU set our goals and your pace. I inform you, mentor you, help you set manageable daily goals and your long-term goals. I help you to become accountable, to me and more importantly, to yourself. This sets you on the path to becoming self-sufficient in your wellness.
